CROSS BORDERS is a platform tool that links Japanese companies with AIBJ’s overseas partners by posting cross-border M&A deals from our more than 200 globally accredited partners and disseminating information to Japanese corporate members. It enables seamless communication between our partners with overseas M&A deals and M&A managers and executives of Japanese companies.
Due to distance and language barriers, there are few cross-border M&A deals easily available to Japanese companies and information is difficult to obtain.
Cross-border M&A deal information is obtained through close communication with overseas local parties, so the information available to Japanese company representatives is limited and the information itself lacks credibility.
In cross-border M&A deals, the seller is an overseas company, so the teaser used to introduce the deal is often written only in English, which requires translation on behalf of the seller and time to study the deal, which is costly and time-consuming.
CROSS BORDERS not only contains a wealth of deal information obtained directly from our accredited overseas partners, but the information is also translated into Japanese, so M&A deals can be carefully considered in a trustworthy environment, solving the challenges of M&A decision makers in one fell swoop.


By handling deals of various scales and businesses, we are able to provide one-to-one support to our member Japanese companies in different situations, from those with no experience in cross-border M&A to those considering cross-border M&A in anticipation of further overseas expansion.
The platform only shows projects from our carefully selected overseas and domestic registered partners. Our registered partners are rigorously screened and interviewed by us to ensure that they meet our high criteria to enable us to present quality deals to our customers.

This is ideal for busy managers and M&A decision makers, making it effortless, by dividing the information into the area or industry they are looking for, the scale of the deal, or the deals that are currently being made (Tier 1) and those that are potential (Tier 2).
The site offers high-quality information through a Japanese ‘Teasers’ featuring top deals. When you register as a member, we ask you about your overseas needs and then source deals through our overseas registered partners. The members of this professional site consist mainly of M&A managers and executives who are familiar with M&A or who are in charge of M&A operations in their respective companies.
We have seen other websites that list deals that do not actually exist or are not currently in progress, in order to exaggerate the number of deals offered. We only list deals whose existence has been confirmed by our registered partners, so as not to undermine the reliability of the information and wastes the valuable time of M&A practioners.
We try to provide as much information as possible (prior to the signing of a confidentiality agreement) in order to generate initial investment interest from M&A decision makers at Japanese companies.
